Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts is an art festival initiated by local entrepreneurs and creators in the private sectors. We believe it will develop into a local art festival and also an international art festival. It is because Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts is an art festival with authentic sprit and ideal full with infinite cultural treasures.
The place that can represent the 1920s in Taiwan’s history is Tua-Tiu-Tiann. Kuo, Hsueh-hu’s “Festival on South Street” and Chiang, Wei-shui’s Taiwan Cultural Movement can illustrate economical, art, political, and ideological significance of Tua-Tiu-Tiann in the 1920s.
1920s was also the most illustrious era in cultural creativity in modern human history. Through the connection with 1920s, Tua-Tiu-Tiann can empathize with every city and country around the world.
In Tua-Tiu-Tiann, we promote cooperative ventures in the historic district and operate a series of public space. One of the important indicators is “Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts”.
Beginning in 2012, every October we organized the 1920s costume parade, which was the predecessor of the Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts and the climax every year at the Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts.
Though the resources were scarce in 2015, but under the enthusiastic and active initiative of our partners, we decided to organize the "Inaugural Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Art Festival" with courage and determination. The festival was held year after year with continuous hardship.
In 2020, when we encounter a major global epidemic, but we insist on continuing with the festival. We hope that at this critical moment more creative energy will erupt to overcome the epidemic, and rise above the quarantine.
We hope we look back in the near future, that everyone’s contributions today will result in great significance, and continue to affect our future and next generation’s future.
